I am so lad I was able to go visit while she was alive in June.

I miss My stepmother a lot. I miss our conversations on the phone, and all of the stories of the past that she would tell me. I had a special relationship with her. No One will ever know just how close we were.

I have to grandchildren now. See what happens? A lot happened since I have been gone.

The grandchildren are ages 10 months and 5 months old. Both are girls. They are as Cute as can be.

I plan to start blogging again.

Have a great weekend and a fantistic next week.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-24264639543679623152008-04-16T06:53:00.000-07:002008-04-16T07:00:15.275-07:00Where Have I Been?

Sorry, it has been so long since I have posted anything. I have had so much going on.

In October, my nephew commited suicide. This was so horrific. My younger son found him it was just horrible.

The end of October, my stepmother fell and broke her hip. She has not faired very well.

Things calmed down for a while. The holidays were nice. Then In Feburary my stepmother fell and broke her other hip. She has not been doing well at all.

My heart goes out to my sister Lis. Lis is going thru so much and puts up with so much from other family members. They do't realize how much she does. Lis is the only one taking care of my stepmother. My stepmother does have visitors, but my sister Lis is the one that is at the Rehabilation Nursing home all the time.
I am to far away and can't get there to see her. My heart aches for my stepmother and my sister.

I am planning a trip to see my stepmother and Lis very soon.

Thank you for sticking in there with me. I am back.

Now for April, 3 weeks ago I got a promotion at work. 1 week ago we were told they were Right Sizing the company, and I got a demotion. Whats that about. Yesterday they laid off 7 people in my department. It was horrible and sad.

Today I hope is a brighter day.

I want to thank Chronicles for my new Blog LOOK. It is just fantastic. If you would like her to help you with a new look please go to her blog and let her know.

Sorry is this was a bit of a sad post, but I promise they will get better.

THank you again for sticking with me so long. New post to come soon.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-85077617156353507512007-10-27T07:24:00.000-07:002007-10-27T07:26:01.225-07:00HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTER DEARJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-59077212085401850562007-09-03T10:16:00.000-07:002007-09-03T10:19:12.532-07:00Where Have I Been? !I haven't been posting much lately. My life has been consumed, with a new adventure I am embarking on. However, I am back to blogging and I am looking forward to sharing with you all, as I punk down this unknown road.

I have started selling candles. The company I choose to sell, is called Partylite. They have numerous products, not just candles. There are so many things I love about this particular brand of candles. The scents that are available are vast. Not only do they sell the candles, but they sell candle holders, in hundreds of different styles. Some are whimsical and romantic and others are trendy and sleek looking. That is what drew me to this particular company.

I do enjoy selling Partylite Candles. They are expensive though, and that is a draw back. However, I have been a candle lover for years, and never have I found a better burning candle and especially ones that come in all different sizes and shapes, . In all the different scents and colors. That is what sold me on them.

The main picture on the top of my blog now, is called “Ruby Red Hurricane” . I chose to design my blog around the Christmas theme, because they have a wonderful catalog that I am drooling over, that is especially designed for the Christmas season. With the bright season just around the corner, I am trying to get organized and ready for the whirlwind.

Now, don’t misunderstand me, this blog isn’t going to be all about Partylite, but… since it has become such a big portion of my life, I will mention it from time to time. If you are interested in purchasing a product, hosting a book party, ect. Please let me know.

I am scared about starting my own business. I’ve only had one show so far, and it was fairly successful. I have to *Put* myself out there, so to speak, and it scares the wits right out of me. On the other hand, I am looking forward to cultivating my OWN business and seeing if I can get it to flourish and grow.

So, join with me and help me celebrate my new endeavor!Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-54895688209871313262007-09-01T08:49:00.000-07:002007-09-01T08:50:52.843-07:00Five Factor Personality Profile

Your Five Factor Personality Profile

Extroversion:

You have medium extroversion.
You're not the life of the party, but you do show up for the party.
Sometimes you are full of energy and open to new social experiences.
But you also need to hibernate and enjoy your "down time."

Conscientiousness:

You have high conscientiousness.
Intelligent and reliable, you tend to succeed in life.
Most things in your life are organized and planned well.
But you borderline on being a total perfectionist.

Agreeableness:

You have medium agreeableness.
You're generally a friendly and trusting person.
But you also have a healthy dose of cynicism.
You get along well with others, as long as they play fair.

Neuroticism:

You have low neuroticism.
You are very emotionally stable and mentally together.
Only the greatest setbacks upset you, and you bounce back quickly.
Overall, you are typically calm and relaxed - making others feel secure.

Openness to experience:

Your openness to new experiences is low.
You're a pretty conservative person, and you favor what's socially acceptable.
You think that change for novelty's sake is a very bad idea.
While some may see this as boring, many see you as dependable and wise.

The Five Factor Personality Test
Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-14929935162984262832007-08-31T19:23:00.000-07:002007-08-31T19:27:28.258-07:00The Five Factor Personality TestYou have medium extroversion. You're not the life of the party, but you do show up for the party.Sometimes you are full of energy and open to new social experiences. But you also need to hibernate and enjoy your "down time."
Conscientiousness:
You have high conscientiousness.Intelligent and reliable, you tend to succeed in life.
You are very emotionally stable and mentally together.Only the greatest setbacks upset you, and you bounce back quickly.Overall, you are typically calm and relaxed - making others feel secure.
Openness to experience:
Your openness to new experiences is low. You're a pretty conservative person, and you favor what's socially acceptable. You think that change for novelty's sake is a very bad idea. While some may see this as boring, many see you as dependable and wiseJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-8668717147367119822007-05-28T07:29:00.000-07:002007-05-28T08:06:54.375-07:00Back from VacationWell it's been a while since I have posted. I have been out of town visiting family. It was a great visit.

I was visiting my sister Lis, and the rest of my family. What an awsome trip. It was fantastic.

Seeing Ethan was great. He is growing so much and is getting so big. He is so handsome, and so special. There is a lot going on for him, and he is very special.

It seems that most of the time when you go visit family there is some kind of family feud or some kind of problem. But this was a fantastic trip. I got to visit my stepmother and my mom, and all but 1 of my sisters. (she lives in another state). And My 1 and only brother

My brother got married while I was there. (reason for the trip) What a different wedding that was. It was beautiful though.

I hope to be here more often now that I am back. Thank you all for stopping by.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-70203911235584082172007-05-06T10:42:00.000-07:002007-05-06T11:02:14.248-07:00This is for all MothersMothers

If you send this to just one person, it should make it all the way around the world by Mother's Day.

This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in their arms, wiping up barf laced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry Kool-Aid saying, "It's okay honey, Mommy's here."Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end so othing crying babies who can't be comforted.

This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their hair and milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse. For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T.

This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see. And the mothers who took those babies and gave them homes. This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on their refrigerator doors.< /STRONG>And for all the mothers who froze their buns on metal bleachers at football or soccer games instead of watching from the warmth of their cars, so that when their kids asked, "Did you see me, Mom?" they could say, "Of course, I wouldn't have missed it for the world," and mean it.

This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery store and swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten instead, but realize how child abuse happens.

This is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and explained all about making babies. And for all the (grand) mothers who wanted to, but just couldn't find the words.

This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can eat. For all the mothers who read "Goodnight, Moon" twice a night for a year. And then read it again. "Just one more time."

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their shoelaces before they started school. AND for all the mothers who opted for Velcro instead.

This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their daughters to sink a jump shot. This is for every mother whose head turns auto matically when a little voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are at home -- or even away at college.

This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with stomach aches assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only to get calls from the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick them up. Right away.

This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find the words to reach them.

This is for all the step-mothers who raised another woman's child or children, and gave their time, attention, and love... sometimes totally unappreciated! For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their 14-year-olds dye their hair green. For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and the mothers of those who did the shooting. For the mothers of the survivors, and the mothers who sat in front of their TVs in horror, hugging their child who just came home from school, safely.

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be peaceful, and now pray they come home safely from a war. What makes a good Mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips? The ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at the same time? Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel when you watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone for the very first time? The jolt that takes you from sleep to dread, from bed to crib at 2 A.M. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby? The panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M. when you just want to hear their key in the door and know they are safe again in your home? Or the need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a fire, a car accident, a child dying?

The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for young mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation...And mature mothers learning to let go.For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers.Single mothers and married mothers.Mothers with money, mothers without.

This is for you all. For all of us.

Hang in there.

In the end we can only do the best we can.

Tell them every day that we love them.

And pray.

Please pass along to all the Moms in your life.

"Home is what catches you when you fall - and we all fall."

We love you Mothers.

Please pass this to a wonderful mother you know. (I just did.)Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-84426841606130534542007-04-28T07:38:00.000-07:002007-04-28T07:41:50.022-07:00What Kind of Flower are you?

I am a
Canna

What Flower
Are You?

Thank you Island Queen this was fun.
Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-70543852132042759952007-04-28T06:41:00.000-07:002007-04-28T07:16:05.732-07:00About My Nephew Ethan and My Sister LisI want to talk about my Little Nephew Ethan.

He is a very special boy, with a lot of challenges.

I wish for the best for him. So I guess he is no longer a child. He has been thru a lot over the past 10+ years. He is on his own with no money, nowhere to live, and he expects others to take care of him.

I have Done everything I can do for him. He is wearing me out. I think he is wearing out everyone he comes in contact with.

I realize he needs family support, but he has burned a lot of bridges along the way. I wish I could go into all the details.

All I can say is that he is alone in the world, and he is struggling to find his place.

I feel for him. I dont know how to help him, or not help him.

Any advise would be welcome. If you have a question just let me know and I will try to answer it.

Thank you in advanceJewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-1171212614908557252007-02-11T08:42:00.000-08:002007-02-11T08:55:59.076-08:00MeMe from MelissaWhat is your occupation? We are all white with snow again. It isn't suppose to stop until Saturday or Sunday.

Has anyone told Mother Nature that Christmas is over? And that we don't need a White New Year?

I was supppose to go to work today, But it is a snow day. Wow an extended Vacation. That part I like. But then again I get cabin fever for being in so long. I have been on vacation all week and I haven't gotten out much because of the weather.

Thank you to Lisa for talking to me on the phone so much so I don't get board.

Have a Fantastic New Year, and Everyone be safe.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-1166640046844487612006-12-20T10:29:00.000-08:002006-12-21T09:59:23.130-08:00Merry White ChristmasWhen they said "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas", did they mean Bilzzard?

Well that's what we are getting here. Don't ya just love Colorado weather? I'm not sure if I do. It is suppose to be snowing until tomorrow with blizzard conditions.

So I am indoors, and not outdoors. No driving for me. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind a White Christmas, just didn't want the blizzard.

My Christmas shopping is about done, except for my spouse. He may have to wait until after Christmas for his presents.

On another note, I just want to say to my sister Lisa, how much I love her, and appreciate her. She has done so much for me. Thanks Lisa, also for getting me into the blogging world. I am trying to Learn to express myself, but only time can and will tell if I am able to keep this up.

Thank you all for visiting my blog, and Have a wonderful holiday season.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-1166382002904955132006-12-17T10:38:00.000-08:002006-12-17T11:01:20.413-08:00Merry ChristmasIt is one week until Christmas. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

What are your Christmas Traditions?

When I was young we opened one gift, it was always pajama's. When I got married my husband did not like that tradition. So we don't do that any longer. I don't know that we have a lot of traditions right now. My boys are 21 and 25, and dont live close by. I need some new traditions. Any suggestions?

My christmas tree is only about 2-3 feet tall. Not by my choice. I guess I let my husband control the holidays a bit. Hummmmm, guess I better think about that.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-1164988274948975162006-12-01T07:44:00.000-08:002006-12-01T07:51:14.970-08:00Micro ManagementThe company I work for says it doesn't Micro manage and is states they dont believe in Micro Management. Then a few months later he tells you they are expecting a baby in June or July? He hasn't even brought her over to meet us yet. Then tells you they got pregnant on purpose? I hate the distance between us. I don't just mean because of where we live, but the fact we hardly ever talk or comunnicate. I am fairly close to a couple of my sisters. But lately they are not talking to me. I have no idea why. I wish I knew what was going on in their lives that has kept them from talkin gto me. I almost feel like I have offended them. I can't thnk of anything I have done though.

B.....Passed away 3 years ago, I was never very close with her, but I did love her dearly.
S.....Is in a world of her own and won't allow any family to talk to her. I feel sorry for her.
J.....This sister is a busy one. She has a daughter and she does so may things for her. Her daughter keeps her busy. J and I have always seemed to get a long. But I can't seem to get a hold of her these days.
L.....The sister I get along with the best, I think. I know she has a lot to do and is busy with her family. She has a lot on her plate. I just wish she knew how much I miss talking to her. I miss our daily conversations. I miss hearing about E and how he is doing. I miss being there for her.
I miss her PERIOD. I hope she knows that.
G.....I have hardly talked to this sister in the past year. I do call her, but she has 4 kids and I can never seem to reach her.
That is a little about my sisters. They are quite a bunch. I love them all, and I miss them. L if you read this, know I love and miss you very much.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20201363.post-1159719640961769062006-10-01T08:37:00.000-07:002006-10-01T09:20:41.023-07:00Ok here GoesOk, I got some Great Ideas from S'mee, so here Goes.

If you could give a million dollars to charity, Whom would it go to and why.

I would give it to a charity that could help my Little Nephew Ethan. He has a lot of needs and I would want the money to go to help him and kids like him. I asked My sister Lisa what would best help him and she said Make a Wish, Primary Childrens, and Shriners. I think if I could only pick one I think it would be Make a Wish. There are so many children that need that wish to help them see a brighter moment. Although Primary Childrens helps and saves so many little lives each day. I think my Wish for Ethan would be a home built for his needs as he grows up and equipment to help him. He is going to need so much as he grows. But I won't have to wory about Love, because his family Loves him very much and I love him bunches. More than anyone knows. That is what I would do if I had a million dollars to send to Charity.

If you could fix any one problem by giving up one of the 5 senses which one would you give up and why.

My first choice would be to give up my vision so that Ethan could have a chance to see the World and the many things around him. The birds, butterflies, cars, Everything.

My second choice would be My ears and hearing. He has ear infections all the time and I wish I could take that from him. He is so handsome and so special. He is always in my thoughts and prayers. I bug his mom all the time for pictures so that I can keep him close to me and to my heart.

Well keep the suggestions comming. Have a great day.Jewelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03973609322491540922noreply@blogger.com5
