Ok, S'mee wants more info. So here goes.
1) What did I like about my husband when we met? He was kind, fairly good looking, spoiled me, bought me flowers.
2) How did our first date get set up? Through my mother, she set it up for us to meet. He took me to Hotel Utah to "The Roof", it was a restraunt in the hotel, on the top floor. (I don't know if it is still there or not.)
3) Did my family approve? Yes they did, (well at first). Then things go a little hairy when we got engaged.
4) First Impressions? He was handsome, caring, and all aroung a really nice guy.
Ok that's enough for now. More to come. Keep asking questions.

A Few Fact About Me
Ok, someone suggested I talk about what kind of a teenager I was.
Well a boring one. I was the quiet, shy one that sat in the back of the class room. My mom always said it wasn't worth grounding me because I never went anywhere.
How did I meet My hubby:
His office was next to my moms, he saw a picture of me and wanted to meet me. Haven't figured out why. And it has been 26 years.
More to come............. So be on the look out

Ranting
Ok, I know it has been a while since I have posted anything. But I have good reason. (At least I think I do). We finally got our office moved at work, so things should quiet down a bit.
I have been thinking a lot about my boys (men), they are 21 and 25. Makes me sound old doesn't it. It has been a struggle for them especially my older son. I have so many what if's with him. Both of them are Bipolar and ADHD. So needless to say life was very interesting (if nothing else) as they were growing up.
I have been thinking about the Bipolar part of our lives. I hear people talking about other people with Bipolar and they are so judgmental. Unless you have it or live with it in your family, people shouldn't be judging those that do have Bipolar. It makes me so darn mad. I here how people are afraid, or plain judgmental. Well it is an illness. It can be treated with medications. Just like diabetes or other illnesses. Luckily my boys are doing fairly well with their Bipolar and ADHD.
I agree there are those who can't handle their illnesses, but what about those that can? I know people that are doing very well and that take there meds and lead a normal life. Yet when someone finds out they are Bipolar watch out. Major Taboo. Well I think it is wrong. Whether it is mild or severe, it is treatable. I understand there are those that don't feel they need meds, but don't take it out on those that are getting treatment. Don't hold it against someone who does have it if you find out they do. No one is perfect.
I would appreciate your comments. Just needed to rant a little. I have heard People this week talking about Bipolar, and the more I have thought about the comments the more it upset me.
Well have a good day and thanks for listening.

Brought to you by the letter G
I came across this over at Lisa's place
I asked to play and she gave me the letter 'G'.
Here's how it works: If you wanna play too, let me know in the comments or send me an email and I'll assign you a letter. Then you write about 10 words that start with that letter that are important
to you and explain why.
1.) Gladioli: One of my favorite flowers. I love the light scent and how full they make the garden look. They also remind me of my sister's and my father's funeral. Both of their sprays had gladiloi in them. My favorite variety is plum silk. Purple is my favorite color and this variety has a lushness and vibrancy that is extraordinary.
2.) Greenhouses: I love greenhouses. The smell the feel of them. The negative ions. You're never closer to God, than when you are gardening. I would love to have veggies, flowers and fruit, despite the season. I hope I can have my own greenhouse someday I can enjoy color and variety all year long.

3.) Richard Gere: He is one of my most beloved actors. I am not sure if it is himself as an actor or the parts that he plays, but he is the star of my favorite movies. I especially loved "Shall We Dance", I also loved "Pretty Woman", "Runaway Bride", "Autumn in New York", "Breathless" and "Officer and a Gentleman" I love romantic movies and he is such a *hottie*.
4.) Games: I love playing card and board games. We used to play a little when I was young. All sorts of games. Trouble, Rook, Sorry, Clue, Pick up Sticks, and Monopoly. In my adulthood, I have enjoyed spending time with Lisa, playing scrabble online (she cheats and always wins), and we have also had a good time playing Phase ten, Uno, as well as Hand and Foot. I play solitaire a LOT, and my favorite version of that is Spider solitaire. It is fun to hang out with family and friends and play games, snack and visit. I have some good memories, of my more recent trips to Utah, playing at Lisa's house with my other siblings and my step-Mom.
5.) Greece: I have always wanted to travel to Greece. There is so much that little place offers. Such history and grandeur. The mythology, art, architecture, the past olympics, and fascinating people are just part of the draw. The Balkan Peninsula is simply stunning and there are so many things to do. The tastes and sounds of the area seem to be overwhelming. I can't wait to go there someday!
6.) Gemstones: I love jewelry and gemstones. All colors and varieties and it seems amazing to me that there is an entire rainbow of stones. From red rubies to yellow and sunset topaz, yellow diamonds, and green emeralds..to blue saphires and amethyst. They all sparkle and have their own individual appeal. I love opals as well as diamonds.

8.) Goals: Goals have been a major help to me through out my life. I have battled some really tough things that I don't think I would have been able to over come with out setting small goals, and passing the milestones. Goals also let you help plot and study and be aware of your own progression. I love that. Checking things off my list of things I have finally been able to get done, or go through. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for goal setting. Even though it isn't always a cakewalk, it is always worth it.
9) Grandparents: My grandparents have always been a huge influence to me. Even thou
gh, they have all passed away now the memories of them live on. When I was really young, I remember my Maternal Grandmother spending time in our home and helping me take off the braces I wore on my feet. That is when I was really small. My paternal grandparents lived close to us as well. I have many fond memories of baking pies and rolls at their house. The orchard that was there is also something I remember and my Grandfather growing prize roses. I am so grateful for my heritage and for the sacrifices my great grandparents made in their earthly life, as they traveled the many miles across the world and then on foot, across the continent. I have learned a great deal from my Grandmothers. Hand work and baking and all kinds of prized abilities. One thing that I have noticed is that in today's world there doesn't seem to be the same amount of respect for grandparents as I was taught in my youth.
10.) The Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ ....is the last on my list...I would be lost without the church, and I was lost without it for several years when I was inactive. I have since become active and been through the temple. How wonderful that was. I need to go to the Temple more often. I always feel I need someone to go with. I hate going by myself. I have a testimony that I don't often share. I love the scriptures and would be lost without them.

I have a set of earrings that I just love, and I adore this piece pictured here. I love the layers and pressings they can put into the gold. Such a neat aspect of jewelry.

I have been tagged!
My sister, Lisa was NICE enough to "Tag" me ! So here it goes...
Six weird things about me! Just what ya wanted to know about ME!
1) Most of my life I have been surrounded by females. I have six sisters and only one brother, however, once I married and started my own family, I was definitely surrounded by males. I have two sons, and my husband. No daughters, it was an interesting change.
2) I absolutely love to bake. I make pies, cookies & all kinds of goodies. However, I don't like to cook a bit.
3) I have an obsession with Knick Knacks. I collect all kinds. Angels, eagles, precious moments, & almost anything you can imagine.
4) I prefer dresses, rather than pants and you will almost always find me in some kind of a dress.
5) I love to sew, quilt and do handwork. I make a lot of pillows and I sometimes quilt the tops. I also love to do handwork, like embroidery, crocheting and knitting.
6) I am not comfortable driving, I don't like exploring new area's or going places I have not driven to before. I am however, getting better at driving on the Freeway!

What a Beautiful day
It is so beautiful here today. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping. What can I say. OK so Lisa wanted me to do this so here goes:
1. Name a trait you share with your parents or children.
Ok, my mom likes to sew and is very crafty. I feel I am some what crafty and I also sew. I love to do embroidery.
I don't Know that I share anything with my boys other than our love. I have no Daughters to share my crafts or sewing with, and my boys aren't interested.
2. How would you describe your personal comfort zone?
Being at home. Safe and sound. Not having to worry about the outside world all the time. Enjoying my crafts and sewing.
3. What's the best advice you've been given, but didn' t heed?
Hum, moving back to Utah?
4. Do you like your handwriting?
NO. I hate my handwriting. It is terrible no matter how hard I try.
Well, that's all I can think of for now. Have a fantastic day.

Where Has this Month GONE?
I can't believe that the month if gone. It has been such a busy one. Today I have a Dr appointment. What a way to end the month. I am diabetic, and my sugars have not been too good. They haven't been terrible, just not good. So we will see how it goes.
My younger son wants to go to lunch with me today, so we will see how that goes. I also need to stop by work, I really should work the overtime today, but I can't seem to fit it in my day.
I appreciate everyone for stopping by. I hope your month ends as a happy one. Have a great day.

Have you Ever had one of those Weeks?
Well I seem to be having one this week. I seem to have even upset my own sister. I didn't realize I did anything wrong. This has not been a good week. For the first time in a very long time I am feeling depressed and very stressed out. I don' tknow what to say, think, or feel. I feel some time like I can do no right. I hate that feeling. I am to the point today I want to run and hide. I wonder if any one understands that. In am a peace maker and I try not to ruffle anyone. But then it blows up in my face. It really has been a hard week, and it seems to just be getting worse and worse. I guess I thought yesterday would be the worst day of the week. But today has gotten even worse. I know this sounds like a pity party. For that I am sorry. I guess I needed to vent. I will try to be more positive on the next post. Thanks for listening.
