What do you do when your oldest son comes to you and says he is engaged? Then a few months later he tells you they are expecting a baby in June or July? He hasn't even brought her over to meet us yet. Then tells you they got pregnant on purpose? With no regards to the consequences? Well Ya try to do What I have done. (I think)
You welcome her with open arms when you finely get to meet her. (Still haven't meet her yet)
You tell them you want to be a part of the baby's life. and I think I will pray a lot. I think that's what I will do.
I hope the first time meeting her goes well. It is hard to know that her mother doesnt like my older son. But maybe time will tell.
I will let ya all know as time goes on and how the first meeting goes. Any other ideas? Let me know.

As the Beatles said: Love is all you need. You lov e your son like the dickens. He loves this girl. They've chosen an uncomventional path, but hey, they do love each other enough to have a child together. Now what they need is a whole lot more love and kindness.

Oh, that is a great question! It's time like these when I hope that I'm close enough to the spirit to know what to do, what to say, etc.
